Our new "Race Nights" are at Cranbrook!

In order to add a bit of variety to our monthly race nights, and to generate a bit more competition and fun, we have decided to hold our next two club race nights racing against Cranbrook Eastern Edge at their pool. This is a 25 metre pool and this new arrangement works well as we are now in the short course (winter) season. When the long course season starts we will be inviting Cranbrook Eastern Edge to our pool to race against us in the long course format.

Long course season - External racing

The long course season starts in October and our swimmers will have many chances to compete at various meets over the coming months. Details of these carnivals can be seen on the calendar as they become available. Results will be made available in due course and can be seen by clicking here. Let us know which events you would like to contest and we can arrange for you to have a go. We wish our racers the best of luck.

Short course season - External racing

The Short course season starts in April and our swimmers will have many chances to compete at various meets over the cooler months. Details of these carnivals can be seen on the calendar as they become available. Results will be made available in due course and can be seen by clicking here. Swimmers of the Year - 2008

Congratulations to
Mia Mahony & Tom Mahony!

What is in the water at their place?

With all these PB's being broken, winning the club's "Swimmer of the Year" is a tuff assignment and a huge achievement. Mia and Tom both scored the most points in the 07/08 season by consistently turning up and breaking their PB's. They both made exceptional improvements to their times and thus win the titles. Well done Mia and Tom! Swimmers of the Year 2008.Click here for full results

Don't be late or you may miss out on vital club points

Racing will commence at 6.00 sharp, with warm ups starting at 5.30 and registrations closing at 5.35pm. It really is important to have your child at the pool no later than 5.15 (and preferably earlier).

How do you find us?

Our postal address is PO Box 454, Double Bay 1360. The club is located at 4 College Street, Sydney next to Hyde Park in the fantastic Cook + Phillip Park complex. Cook + Phillip Park is a unique public facility combining a state of the art indoor aquatic, fitness and recreation complex in a parkland setting right in the heart of Sydney's Central Business District.
We have year round access to the 8 lane Olympic sized indoor heated pool which can be operated in either 50m or 25m mode. This makes our club ideal for all ages and levels of swimmers wanting to hone their racing skills or just have some fun.

Kaizen - daily improvement

Kaizen is a Japanese word that is simply translated as "improvement." However, like many Japanese terms, the word encompasses far more than its literal English translation. It means more than simple improvement, and instead suggests continuous, gradual, orderly and never-ending improvement, as well as the willingness to pursue incremental improvement a small step at a time. The concept of Kaizen in sports training means that your techniques must be a little bit better than they were yesterday.
