BI-WEEKLY UPDATE

Scots Prep School Invitation Race meet and AGM on this Friday, 28 October !

Why not bring a friend?

The first of a series of planned school invitational meets is on this Friday. This will make our Gala Night bigger and better than ever ! The swim team from Scots Prep School have accepted our offer to join us at one of our regular Friday evening race meets. Racing is planned to start as normal at around 6.30pm and we are aiming to have the serious racing over before 7:45pm. These races will count for points for the new 2005/06 season and "Swimmers of the Year 2005/06". There will also be a fun race and a relay against the parents to wind up the evening, so get your mum and dad ready to race !

Try and make sure you get to the centre by 6.15pm to warm up and register by 6.25pm. There will be around 30 swimmers joining us from Scots so it is doubly important to get organised early. As always, the BBQ usually gets going by 6.45pm for hungry swimmers and their family.

As notified by separate email, the club will be holding its AGM at 5.45pm and the nominations received for office bearers (see below) will be put up for the eligible members of the club to vote on.

  5. Membership and participation initiatives

Under the clubs constitution all office bearers need to be re-elected every year by the financial members of the club who attend the AGM. Nominations were called for on October 10 by email to all members and have now closed. The following nominations were received for office bearers for the 2005 / 2006 year :

This is a big event on the clubs calendar and you don't want to miss this one!
