2006 LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS

TO BE HELD ON

SUNDAY 2ND APRIL 2006 AT COOK + PHILLIP PARK

  1. Only financial members of the Cook + Phillip swim club under 19 years of age are eligible to win medals
  2. All races longer than 25m timed with electronic touch pads
  3. Timed heats will be run for events with more than 8 entries and fastest overall time declared the winner
  4. Entries for all events close at 2.30pm on race day
  5. The first race is scheduled for 3.00pm with the racing scheduled to conclude at approx. 5.00pm
  6. Age determined as at 1st October 2005. Competitors may swim up in age group if required
  7. Winner of an event earns 20 points towards club “Long Course Champion” award, with 17 for 2nd, 16 for 3rd, 15 for 4th etc – Trophy and perpetual shield awarded to overall winner for boys and girls
  8. Best 3 times also count for double points towards annual “Swimmer of the Year” point scores
  9. Barbeque commences at 6.30pm with free beer & wine for parents and supporters
  10. Entry Fee $4.00 per swimmer per event, with siblings and parents having a $2 spectator fee at the gate
  11. Medals awarded for first place in each age group for each stroke with rosettes for second & third place
